The Natural Pregnancy Guide
Your Guide To Natural Remedies, Diet and Nutrition For A Healthy Pregnancy
This pregnancy guide is based on nearly 10 years of clinical experience as a natural health consultant specialising in working with women before, during and after pregnancy.
Many websites that focus on natural health care during pregnancy are written by medical proffessionals or by lay people with no experience or training using natural medicines such as herbal medicine, homoeopathic medicine, nutrition and massage.
Much of the information regarding diet and nutrition during pregnancy is based on 'Politically Correct Nutrition' and does not reflect the growing body of research that current reccomendations regarding fat, protein, carbohydrates and other nutrients are outdated and damaging to your health.
Natural health care for pregnancy is based primarily on the belief that Pregnancy is not an illness to be endured for 9 months.
Many of the so called 'symptoms of pregnancy' are common but far from normal and healthy.
Many women endure significant discomfort and illness during pregnancy thinking that it is normal.
It's not.
Often simple changes to your diet are all that is needed to bring relief to many uncomfortable symptoms. At other times appropriate herbal, homoeopathic and nutritional remedies are required.
Despite what some doctors and pharmacists might have you believe Natural Medicine and Natural Remedies are extremely safe for use during pregnancy. Natural medicine is still the primary form of health care for the majority of the worlds population, yet it is in the industrialised world with our reliance upon modern medicine and politically correct nutrition that rates of miscarriage and birth defects are climbing to higher and higher rates.
Certain conditions during pregnancy require that you work with a qualified and experienced Natural Health Practitioner while others are more readily suited to home remedies.
The following conditions can usually be treated safely and effectively with natural remedies:
- Nausea of Pregnancy
- Headaches
- Muscle Cramps
- Restless Legs
- Food Cravings
- Excessive Weight Gain
- Thrush
Conditions such as depression, anxiety, allergies, high blood pressures will all improve by following the Guide to Diet and Nutrition,(coming very soon) but will require some guidance and treatment by an experienced Natural Health Practitioner as well.
Your health before you fall pregnant is one of the most important factors in having a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. But it's never too late to improve your health during your pregnancy.
